Ski touring in Sainte-Adèle

Beginner to intermediate.

This activity is the perfect introduction to ski touring. The circuit is safest and the type of terrain constantly evolves throughout the course. From off-piste trails to fluffy snow off-piste slopes and groomed snow slopes. This exit comes with a 4 hours block in the ski resort "Chanteclerc".  Ski-touring techniques will have no secrets for you at the end of this day.

Important note for people traveling in Quebec, ie not resident in Quebec and therefore not covered by the Quebec health insurance plan. To participate in this activity you must be covered by a travel insurance that covers the backcountry skiing activity and submit a document that proves it the day of the activity. If your travel insurance does not cover backcountry skiing, you can apply for insurance (claim) for the day of activity on the TUGO insurance website by opening an account and making a request. for "hospital and medical insurance for visitors to Canada".

Duration:

This is a day of discovery of a mountainous area, ski touring in sainte-Adèle in the Laurentians. At 6 pm, participants return to Montreal.
The rendezvous is set at the Jarry metro station at the Berri exit at 10 am.

11:30 am Arrival on the parking lot, installation of the equipment

11:45 am Start of the activity

1 pm Lunch break

1:30 pm Resumption of the activity

4:00 pm Gathering at the parking lot.

4:30 pm Departure to Montreal

6 pm End of the activity

 

Equipment list


For information, the clothing recommended for this activity should not be cotton, but synthetic or wool. The advantage of synthetic and wool over cotton is that even wet, these textiles stay warm.
Backpack
Base layer (thin combination): up and down
Thin intermediate layer: polar
Waterproof and breathable jacket
Sport pants and waterproof and breathable pants
Thin beanie and thick beanie
Scarf or scarf
Pair of thin gloves
Pair of thin stockings
Pair of mittens or gloves warmer (just in case)
Solar cream
Pair of sunglasses and ski mask
Thermos of 500 ml or 1 l
1 lunch and snacks
